The Beers Black fig tree (Ficus carica 'Beer's Black') is a deciduous dwarf in stature, very vigorous with an upright growing habit and has an above average resistance to leaf diseases. Figs are medium- sized with a reddish-pink center and a violet exterior skin. Beer's Black is to ‘Violette de Bordeaux,’ and one of the best figs for eating and making preserves. Makes a wonderful addition to your potted container collection or plant directly into the ground in your outdoor garden space in zones 7-9 or 6 with added winter protection.

Breba: Once Beer's Black reach year five and older they produce three distinct crops: a light breba crop early spring, a heavy main crop in summer and a fall crop that can last into December. 

Plant in full sun to partial shade, in well drained soils (dry out between waterings). Highly adaptable, but bears best fruit in hot inland areas.
