The Bartlett Pear tree (Pyrus communis ‘Bartlett’) is a deciduous fruit tree that blooms showy white flowers just before the leaves appear in the spring. The Bartlett is by far the most popular pear worldwide. The Bartlett pear has a fantastic honeyed flavor and also has one of the longest shelf lives of any of the pears. Also known to be an early producer of pears, at a much younger age than other traditional varieties. Bartlett pears are great for fresh eating, ciders or cooking, keeps well in refrigeration. This tree grows at a medium rate, with height increases of 24" per year. Pear trees should be spaced about 20-22' apart.
